UW-Green Bay to offer online Spanish in the Professions course

This spring the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is offering an online course in Spanish in the Professions, a program that can help those in business learn Spanish.


Scheduled to start on Saturday, Feb. 5, this online Spanish course will be taught by experienced instructors who will guide students through a highly interactive online text. Optional meeting times for language practice are scheduled throughout the spring. The program provides an intensive language-learning experience for all levels of Spanish-language learners. Registration is due by January 31.

The Spanish in the Professions program is designed with customer service representatives, call center employees, hospitality workers, social workers, bankers, teachers and health care workers in mind. Students will participate in language classes by skill level. An online pre-test will determine a student’s skill level.

Fees for the program are $295 for noncredit instruction, $471.56 for two undergraduate credits in Spanish or $777.88 for two graduate credits in Education.
