Congratulations to the Volunteer Center’s #VolunteersOfTheWeek, the members UW-Green Bay’s Zeta Omega Tau. The Children’s Museum of Green Bay typically relies on volunteers to help keep their costs down, and the members of UW-Green Bay’s Zeta Omega Tau sorority have signed up (as a group and individually) for numerous special events to run educational art- and science-based programs for museum families. According to a Facebook post from the Volunteer Center, “Most of the events typically happen on weekends, so the fact that these college students use their free time for volunteering is truly heartwarming. They have been incredible role models for the kids and run activities with positivity and enthusiasm. They have genuinely connected with the children, who love it when the ‘big kids’ interact with them. They are caring and confident women who love helping their community, and it is obvious by the look in the children’s eyes that they feel special when these volunteers are with them.”
