Intermediate Hmong Language course added for Spring Semester

UW-Green Bay has added a three-credit Intermediate Hmong Language course for spring semester 2010, reports Prof. Ray Hutchinson of Urban and Regional Studies, director of Hmong Studies. The class will be open to students who have completed Hmong 101 or receive the consent of the instructor, Shelly Yang, an ESL teacher in the Howard-Suamico School District who has written and published several books in beginning-level Hmong and English. The course will be offered 5 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, and will help strengthen speaking, listening and reading comprehension.
