Two students receive Phuture Phoenix Radder memorial award

Phuture Phoenix Whitney Radder memorial award

Two role models from UW-Green Bay’s signature Phuture Phoenix program were presented Wednesday, Dec. 11 with the Whitney Radder Phenomenal Role Model Award.

Students Jake Tess and Margaret Mossgaller received the honor, named for Whitney Radder, a Phuture Phoenix tutor who was killed in a car accident in 2010. This year marks the first time the Radder award has been given to two students, instead of the usual one individual.

Nominated by their peers, Tess and Mossgaller served as role models at the Oneida Turtle School and Preble High School, respectively. Radder’s mother, Kaye, and uncle, Louie Bowe, were on hand to help present the award.
