UW-Green Bay men whip the Badgers

The UW-Green Bay men’s basketball team used timely defense and hot shooting Wednesday (Dec. 9) to knock off the 20th-ranked UW-Madison Badgers, 88-84 in overtime. Before a crowd of about 8,500 fans (out of a record paid attendance of 9,759) at the Resch Center, the Phoenix featured a balanced attack, with five players in double figures. The next game is Sunday (Dec. 13) at Oakland University, in Rochester, Mich. The Green Bay Press-Gazette put up nearly two dozen photos from Wednesday night’s huge Phoenix win vs. the Badgers.
