Acclaim in Peru for a former UW-Green Bay colleague

Author Jorge Eduardo Benavides, Scholar-in-Residence in the Humanistic Studies unit for the fall 2011 semester, recently published a novel, Un asunto sentimental (A Sentimental Matter), with the prestigious Spanish publishing house Alfaguara. Last week, the most influential newspaper in Peru (El Comercio) placed his novel on the short list for Best Work of Fiction of 2012.
