This Friday (Dec. 4) the Phoenix Bookstore prepares for the holidays with a 25% off storewide sale (except textbooks, gift cards, and commencement items). The sale runs Thursday through Saturday. This week’s Aviand’s 10% discount is at the Rosewood Café. Playing at Cheapseats is the new horror movie, “The Visit.” Check out Matt Hires at 8 p.m. Friday at Common Grounds — the Nashville-based singer/songwriter has been on tour with Parachute, Matchbox 20 and The Goo-Goo Dolls.
