UW-Green Bay at the forefront of mobile device trend

Our friends in Web Services deserve kudos for their role in the early movement to produce device agnostic web pages through a process called responsive design (for those who don’t speak tech — web pages that allow the layout to shift and adjust as the screen size becomes smaller, making for easy reading on a desktop computer, tablet or mobile device). The website collegewebeditor.com recently ran an article on the trend, including an example direct from UW-Green Bay (you might need to copy and paste the link into your browser; scroll down to see screen shots from our Web Services page). Curious to try it for yourself? Click this link www.uwgb.edu/webdev/, then grab onto the bottom right corner of your browser window to scale it smaller and watch how the layout shifts.

Finally, Web Services has made these template files available to campus developers to use: www.uwgb.edu/webdev/support/responsive-template.asp.
