Student groups ask faculty/staff help in food drive

A number of student groups are banding together to help the hungry this holiday season.

WisPIRG, (Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group-UWGB Chapter) in conjunction with Prof. Kim Nielsen’s Waging War/Waging Peace course, the Student Government Association, and the Student Athletic Committee are currently running the National Students Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness. “With the increased demand that the local homeless shelters have this time of year, we desperately need your help!” Faculty willing to assist and publicize the canned food drive in their classes have only to notify the organizers, who will arrange times to pick up food. Or, faculty, staff and students can drop off the donations in the box in front of the Corner Store at the University Union, or in the Alcove area in the Lower Level of the Cofrin Library. The collection will run from Monday December 1st-Wednesday the 8th. If you have any questions or if you would like to help out in any other way, please contact:
