On Thursday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m., you can watch UW-Green Bay students pitch their business models for $10,000. Find the event on YouTube or Facebook for free. The Pitch (www.ThePitchFoxCities.com) is an annual business model pitch competition for college students from the universities and colleges based in Northeast Wisconsin. The Pitch is typically held in April, but The Pitch 2020 was rescheduled for Oct. 15. About a dozen college student entrepreneurs and teams will pitch for the top $10,000 cash/$15,000 in-kind services prize. Second prize is $7,500 cash/$7,500 in-kind, and third prize is $5,000 cash/$5,000 in-kind. For UWGB, Maria Arunkumar (Business Administration) will pitch her business model for Build-a-Wedding, and Tyrone Powell (Business Administration) will pitch his business model of Unext. Powell recently made the “Global Top 100 Pitch Competition” among 300 entrants from across U.S. campuses. Arunkumar recently made it to the semi-finals of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
