UWGB mourns loss of one of its earliest professors

Robert S. Cook, one of the founding professors of UW-Green Bay, passed away peacefully Sept. 27. He started at UWGB in 1966, was the first curator for UW-Green Bay’s Richter Museum and was instrumental in obtaining the collection. He left in 1977 to serve as Deputy Director of the U.S. Fish &Wildlife Service in Washington D.C. He moved back to the area upon his retirement in 1993. A memorial service will be held at Green Bay Community Church, 600 Cardinal Lane, Howard, at 3p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12. See more.
