A donation of $3,000 from the Monday Noon Optimist Club of Green Bay was made in the support of UW-Green Bay’s Camp Lloyd. The Optimist Club held a fundraiser concert this past August to raise money to help out children in the Green Bay area. Optimist Clubs demonstrate their caring attitude by carrying out the mission of the organization, “By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.” Camp Lloyd is a week-long day camp for grieving children, ages 7-14, held at UW-Green Bay. The camp is filled with fun activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, swimming and hiking. It is also a time for campers to explore their own experiences of grief, find support from each other and realize that their feelings are normal. To learn more about Camp Lloyd and how you can help make a difference both with time and money, visit its website. Camp Lloyd 2018 will be held on June 24-29.
