Borseth announced as one of ‘Top 50 Most Influential Leaders in Green Bay Athletics History’

On Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, Green Bay women’s basketball Head Coach Kevin Borseth was announced as the third member of the “Top 50 Most Influential Leaders in Green Bay Athletics History.” This top 50 list, chosen based on input from past and present administrators, staff, coaches, student-athletes, University communications staff and community members, is comprised of individuals who helped change the trajectory of the department, shaped the brand of the Phoenix program, set a standard for excellence and/or provided a key investment that changed the program for the better.

Borseth, in two separate tenures at Green Bay, from 1998-2007 and 2012-present, is 19th on the all-time wins list for Division 1 head coaches, holding a record of 713-275, including his five seasons as the head coach at Michigan. The women’s basketball program has its only two NCAA Tournament wins under Borseth, beating Washington in 2003 and New Mexico in 2007. Not only has Borseth been instrumental to elevating the women’s basketball program on the court, but he has helped raise attendance and supported fundraising events to support the program off the court.

The Green Bay Athletics Department will announce a new member of the ‘Top 50 Most Influential Leaders in Green Bay Athletics History‘ every week.
