U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service writes about UW-Green Bay partners
“Often, the most successful research is the result of strong partnerships and the use of pooled knowledge and resources — couple this with mentoring and providing fisheries experience for undergraduate and graduate students and it’s a win-win,” reports the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. “The Green Bay Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (FWCO) has a longstanding partnership with the Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries lab at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB). Over time, UWGB students have gained hands-on experience with USFWS programs by completing internships and volunteering for field work at the Green Bay FWCO; staff from the FWCO have provided technical expertise and training to undergraduate and graduate students, loaned out fisheries sampling gear, and contributed numerous scientific presentations and professional development seminars/workshops for the UWGB student American Fisheries Society subgroup.
