Inclusivity and Equity Series Workshop Part 1

The Inclusivity and Equity Series Workshop Part 1 will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 23 in University Union Phoenix Room B. This workshop explores what Inclusive Excellence is and can be at UWGB. Attendees will learn the difference between a hate crime and a bias report through specific examples utilized in the “Stop the Hate” training at UWGB. Please RSVP by Sept. 20 here.

Inclusivity and Equity Series Workshop Part 2

The Inclusivity and Equity Series Workshop Part 2 will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 in Phoenix B of the University Union. This workshop defines the difference between tolerance and acceptance and how a cultural change can occur from tolerance to acceptance. Other concepts that are introduced and explored include cultural humility, how to be accountable for change, tokenism, and the ability for employee resource groups to enhance employee engagement. Volunteer with the Packers wives

Paul’s Pantry will be hosting the Packers Wives Event on Sunday, Sept. 25. Employees can volunteer to work alongside student volunteers from the Pride Center and Student Life, and Inclusive Excellence as well as the greater community to help stack, pack, or otherwise assist with the community wide Packers Wives Event that collects food to be distributed at Pauls’ Pantry. The first 20 volunteers can reserve a spot by contacting Stacie Christian at christis@uwgb.edu or Stephanie Kaponya in Student Life.
