‘Global Citizenship’ Common Theme off to strong start

Another academic year is well under way, and with it another terrific Common Theme. As we told you here previously, this year’s campuswide theme is “Global Citizenship in an Evolving World,” which reflects the fact that globalization has triggered a range of social, cultural, political, environmental and economic changes throughout the world. Virtually all fields of study and industries now are impacted by global issues, many of which will be explored through a variety of offerings and events taking place throughout the academic year. There are several Common Theme events this week alone, including a Wednesday (Sept. 18) screening of the Argentinian film “Familia Rodante” and a Thursday (Sept. 19) performance by award-winning multi-instrumental and Latin/world music duo Correro Ae’ero.
