UW-Green Bay to report on ‘off-the-grid’ energy progress
Chris Hatfield, director of Facilities Management and Planning, will be in Madison Wednesday (Sept. 10) to share an update on this University’s progress and learn what other institutions are doing at a “UW-Off-the-Grid” strategy session from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Inn on the Park. Representatives from UW-River Falls, Oshkosh and Stevens Point, along with consultants and representatives of the groups Conserve Wisconsin and the Energy Center of Wisconsin will also take part. In 2006 the four UW schools were selected by Gov. Jim Doyle to pilot a path toward “energy independence” within five years. Hatfield says anyone interested in attending Wednesday’s session, or learning more, should contact him.
