John Arendt was promoted to Director of UW-Green Bay’s Environmental Management and Business Institute (EMBI) in July 2016. He is now responsible for seeking and developing relationships within the New North region of Wisconsin. Arendt graduated in 1988 from the UWGB with a degree in Business Administration/Management. He received his master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy in 2012 from UWGB, as well. In addition to providing outreach and services to businesses and agencies that seek options for addressing environmental problems, he enlists students to participate in campus/community collaborations and serves as the supervisor for many sustainability related internships. Arendt’s academic experience and interests include resource management, waste reduction, and sustainability.
