Lawton Gallery event: Please Check a Box: Sex, Gender, Identity and Privacy

UW-Green Bay’s Lawton Gallery announces its opening reception Sept. 7 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. for the show, Please Check a Box: Sex, Gender, Identity and Privacy. “For better or worse, sex is seen by many societies as fundamental to an individual’s identity. As our social views progress, and we understand better the biological and social complexity of variation in sex and the related concept of gender, we must ask ourselves, “Why? Just whose business is a person’s sex and gender?” Featuring work by Prof. Dan Meinhardt, Lois Bielefeld, Jess Dugan, Jeffrey Morin and Ben Rinehart.Coordinated in collaboration with Positive Voice of Green Bay.
