Wochos at fall Convocation: UWGB makes city world-class

Emphasizing the connection between campus and community, UW-Green Bay Founders Association President Scott Wochos delivered a well-received address during fall Convocation Aug. 24. Wochos, Senior Vice President of Green Bay Packaging, told the assembled faculty and staff that UWGB makes Green Bay a world-class city, and that University graduates are critical to the success of area businesses.

“This is a world-class University,” Wochos said. “And before we had it, we were a very nice mid-size city with a world-class football team. Now we’re a world-class city because of you.”

Wochos received a warm reception at the event, which serves as an academic year kick-off for UW-Green Bay faculty and staff. It includes the presentation of Founders Association awards, the introduction of new faculty and staff, and remarks from Chancellor Thomas K. Harden.
