Prof. Cristina Ortiz (Humanities) and Associate Prof. Jon Shelton (Democracy and Justice Studies) have both been appointed to the first-ever Green Bay Equal Rights Commission. The Commission had its first meeting last week and Shelton was elected vice-chair. They will work to bring voices of diversity, equity, and inclusion to the Commission. UW-Green Bay alumni, Alder Veronica Corpus-Dax ’01 (Spanish and Latin American Studies) and Marcus Grignon ’16 (Democracy and Justice Studies) also serve on the commission.
