Last chance to register for ‘Becoming a Student-Ready University’

Join organizers the afternoon following Fall Convocation, Wednesday, August 23, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. for a keynote and workshop with Tia Brown McNair, Vice President in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Student Success at Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U). Instead of focusing on student preparedness for college (or lack thereof), McNair asks the more pragmatic question of what are colleges and universities doing to prepare for the students who are entering their institutions? What must change in an institution’s policies, practices and culture, in order to be student ready? After a keynote presentation reflecting on these shared challenges, McNair will help facilitate a workshop designed to help all areas of campus consider how they may ensure the University is ready to meet the needs of all students in our community. The event is open to the entire UWGB campus. Click here to register for this exciting professional development opportunity.
