UW System finalizing budget request for Regent review

Look for details early next week on the UW System’s proposed spending plan for 2011-13. Materials will be made public Monday (Aug. 16) in advance of the Board of Regents biennial budget meetings Aug. 19 and 20 in Madison. You can expect the growth agenda, a research-to-jobs initiative, and the issue of possible faculty/staff pay increases to generate discussion and media coverage. If approved by the Regents, the budget advances for review this fall by the state Department of Administration and possible inclusion in the governor’s budget to be revealed in February.
