Collaborative fisheries research featured in ‘National Geographic’ blog

We told you here recently (see news post) about a collaborative UW-Green Bay research project that got the attention of an outdoors writer for the Chicago Sun-Times. Last month, Dale Bowman reported on his trip to Green Bay to document research on northern pike spawning and survival in the lower bay. The fisheries project is a joint venture involving UW-Green Bay and Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium. Led by Solomon David, a postdoctoral research associate, the collaboration involves several UW-Green Bay students and recent grads, under the direction of Assistant Prof. Patrick Forsythe. David, of the Shedd Aquarium’s Daniel P. Haerther Center for Conservation and Research, recently wrote a blog post about the experience for National Geographic, and included a great photo of his UW-Green Bay team. You can check it out by clicking the link below (pictured, from left to right, are recent UW-Green Bay graduates Parker Kilsdonk and Rachel Van Dam; Solomon David; current student Jason Brabant and recent grad Brandon Falish).
