National champions in the classroom
The Green Bay women’s basketball program earned the top spot in the nation with a program best 3.819 grade point average for the 2016-17 season. The program made its third-consecutive appearance on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Honor Roll and 13th overall. “We are very proud of our team, our staff and the University for working closely together to help achieve our high goals on the court and in the classroom,” said Head Coach Kevin Borseth. “This is the third time since 2000 when academic rankings began that Green Bay has finished No. 1 in the classroom… National Champions. The success of our program has been built from day one on high standards, and to be able to achieve and get recognized in this capacity is very rewarding and special. We are Green Bay.”
