‘Once a Phoenix, always a Phoenix’: Brown drafted by NBA’s Suns

Congratulations are in order for former Phoenix Alec Brown, who was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the second round of Thursday’s (June 26) NBA Draft. Brown, who graduated in May, was selected with the 50th overall pick. “Once a Phoenix, always a Phoenix,” said UW-Green Bay men’s basketball Coach Brian Wardle. “It couldn’t happen to a better person and we are all extremely proud of Alec. He has improved and worked extremely hard, and he has always done it the right way. Alec getting drafted is a testament to how he worked out in the predraft process and the maturity and focus he took into these workouts.
