Summer camp season in full swing
UW-Green Bay Summer Camps are off and running in a big way this week and next, with hundreds of learners taking advantage of a wide variety of popular programs. The Life’s a Lab health science camp, directed by Amanda Nelson; and Video Game Programming Camp level 1, directed by Ben Geisler, wrapped up Wednesday (June 18) after a three-day intensive learning experience. In addition, more than 450 of the state’s top high school musicians are on campus through Saturday for the Wisconsin School Music Association State Honors Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band and Choir Camp. A public WSMA concert will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday (June 21) in the Cofrin Family (main) Hall of the Weidner Center. And next week, 120 high schoolers will be attending Summer Art Studio Camp, with a public art show scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, June 27 in the Lawton Gallery. Middle School Art Camp will follow from June 30-July 3, culminating in a public show at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3, also in the Lawton Gallery.
