UW-Manitowoc Prof. Emeritus Chuck Sontag (Biology) has kept an eagle eye on the birds along the Lake Michigan lakeshore. Sontag began birding more than 50 years ago, and has spotted more than 300 species since. His work has inspired bird-watchers from all over the country, and thus Lake Michigan has become a popular destination for birders. Watch he video and read the full story by the Post Crescent.
