With more than 120 registrants, a Social Justice Summit: From Inclusion to Equity, is scheduled for Thursday, June 2, 2022 at UW-Green Bay. Social workers and social work students from the University’s 16-county footprint will attend in-person and virtually. The Summit keynote, Denise O’Neil Green, will speak on “Growing Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Decentering Whiteness”. O’Neil Green is the vice-president, Equity and Community Inclusion at Ryerson University, Toronto. Break-out sessions and a panel discussion will complement the Summit theme and enhance learning. The Summit planning committee includes UW-Green Bay faculty Joan Groessl, Sherry Warren, Sara Greenwood, and Sheng Lee Yang. The CECE Department worked closely with Social Work to plan and coordinate the Summit.
