Former UW-Green Bay provost prepares to step down at Metro State

We saw this news last fall, and post here now because her June departure is imminent. Sue Hammersmith, the president of St. Paul’s Metropolitan State University, is stepping down after six years in which she has presided over rapid growth on the urban campus — growth that the university has at times struggled to keep up with, according to news reports, faculty and Hammersmith herself. Hammersmith was provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at UW-Green Bay from 2002 until her 2008 departure for the Twin Cities. A link to last fall’s announcement.
