The Wisconsin Dietetic Association honored UW-Green Bay students and an instructor from Nutritional Sciences with awards at the annual state conference earlier this month in Wisconsin Dells. Alyssa Mannering, a senior in Human Biology with an emphasis in nutritional science, was recognized as the Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Dietetics in Wisconsin; she will be enrolled in UW-Green Bay’s Dietetic Internship program starting this fall. Another dietetics student, junior Amy Zellner, received the Association of Healthcare Foodservice/Bernice Mateicka Scholarship. Additionally, Sara Schmitz, adjunct instructor in nutritional science, was named Young Dietitian of the Year.
