Big excitement on campus on an otherwise quiet Friday afternoon: A loud bang, the sound of window glass shattering, and a large hen turkey making itself at home in a second-floor conference room at the Cofrin Library. The room, in the back corner of the Outreach and Extension suite, was unoccupied. The stunned and injured bird was eventually lifted into a box by a staff member from the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity, and transported to Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. See photos.
