UW-Green Bay ranks tops in dietetic internship matches (again)

Dietetic internship program leaders shared (DI) match results for December 2017 and May 2018  graduates. The DI is the necessary next step for graduating seniors to fulfill the 1,200 required practicum hours and gain the skills necessary to take the registered dietitian examination. Competition for the dietetic internships is fierce, with only 50% of national applicants receiving a match each year. This year 14 of our 16 senior UW applicants earned a match, with many of our students matched to their first choice program. Over the last four years, the program has matched 55/60 seniors applying for a 92 percent average!

“I believe that this success is a testament to the hard work and motivation of our students, the high quality of mentoring & advising provided by faculty, the quality and rigor of the education that students receive while studying in our Nutrition and Human Biology Programs, and the high impact practices that students receive through our community collaborations,
said Sara (Schmitz) Wagner, Director, Didactic Program in Nutrition and Dietetics and lecturer, Human Biology.
