‘Humanistic Studies’ is now ‘Humanities’
Humanistic Studies is currently an academic program and a unit on campus. The name for both has been changed to “Humanities.” The reason for the change is that the program and all the unit’s disciplinary programs are, in fact, all fields within the Humanities. The new name is also more widely recognized.
