U.S. Congressman Reid Ribble visits Prof. Weinschenk’s class

Students in Prof. Aaron Weinschenk’s (Political Science) Congress: Politics & Policy class got to learn about the institution they’ve been studying all semester from a former member of the U.S. House, Reid Ribble. This was Congressman Ribble’s fifth visit to one of Weinschenk’s classes over the last several years. Ribble currently resides in Tennessee but make a special trip to Green Bay for the guest lecture. During this year’s visit, Ribble talked about why he ran for Congress and his concerns about the way Congress operates. He also answered student questions. Ribble is currently the CEO of the National Roofing Contractors Association, but maintains ties to the Green Bay area through speaking engagements like the one in Weinschenk’s class and his service on the Chancellor’s Council of Trustees. Ribble is the fourth guest speaker in Weinschenk’s class this year (others were State Senator Eric Wimberger, former U.S. Senator Tim Wirth, and State Representative Kristina Shelton).
