SBDC a player in major Earth Day event

The University has been billing Wednesday’s “Green Innovations 2009” symposium as a major milestone in the launch of the University’s new Environmental Management and Business Institute. Which it is. Perhaps lost in the run-up, however, has been the fact that an existing UW-Green Bay entity, the Small Business Development Center, is also a co-sponsor and key player. SBDC Director Christina Trombley says she expects her unit to be a vehicle for contributing to EMBI. For example, SBDC staff members who work as counselors to startup companies, and students placed in field projects with small businesses, can be conduits for extending the EMBI model that sustainable business is good business. We’ll have more on current and future SBDC projects in a future post.
