‘Lennie’ follows a coaching legend at SNC

UW-Green Bay alumna and former assistant coach Amanda Leonhard-Perry was named head coach of the St. Norbert College women’s basketball team today (April 18, 2019). She replaces Connie Tilley who retired after 42 seasons. Perry ’03 was a standout for the Phoenix as a player, and was a member of the Green Bay coaching staff for 11 years. A decorated, four-year player at Green Bay, Leonhard-Perry was a part of teams that finished 86-35, played in three NCAA Tournaments and won four regular-season conference championships. She led the Phoenix in scoring and was a first-team all-conference selection as a sophomore, finishing her career with 1,097 points, 332 assists, 189 steals and 114 three-point field goals. The Business Administration major was also a two-time academic all-conference selection. She completed a master’s degree in sport and recreation at North Dakota State in 2010. Both SNC basketball programs are now led by UW-Green Bay graduates. Gary Grzesk ’96 has been highly successful as the head coach of the men’s program, and just completed his 13th season.
