Senior VP Morgan says HRS all clear for April 18 launch

Michael L. Morgan, the UW System’s senior VP for administration and fiscal affairs, wrote campus administrators statewide Friday to inform that the new HRS human resources, payroll and benefits system is ready to launch Monday (April 18), on time and within budget. “HRS will replace our fragile 40-year-old legacy system, offering more secure, more reliable, and more flexible service for our faculty, staff, and student employees,” Morgan wrote. The first paychecks from the new system will be issued April 29 for unclassified employees and a few days later for classified and student employees. “I congratulate and thank the HRS Project Team and the hundreds of staff at your institutions who have been involved in preparing this well-functioning system.”
