Faculty and staff needed to help celebrate Spring Commencement

The UW-Green Bay Commencement Team needs you… The 2021 UW-Green Bay Spring/Summer Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, May 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. And what a reason to celebrate! It is hoped that faculty and staff will volunteer to work at the celebration and to line a portion of the route near the Weidner Center for Performing Arts (WCPA) to help celebrate our students’ graduation by holding signs, waving or cheering as graduates and their parties drive their vehicles along a pre-determined route through campus.

Please note the following if you plan to participate:

• What to expect:
  • A fun and exciting day!
  • Academic regalia or UWGB gear is encouraged for the cheer section.
  • Celebratory signage will be available to those who sign up to cheer on graduates.
  • Graduates will register in 30-minute time slots, which will equally spread their arrivals throughout the entirety of the event.
• How to participate:
  • Volunteer to work and/or sign up for the cheer section here
• Faculty and Staff Gown Rental Information:
  • If you would like to wear academic apparel, but do not own, Commencement apparel rentals are now available (at your own expense) through The Phoenix Bookstore:
    • In-person at The Phoenix Bookstore through April 15
    • By calling (920) 391-6600 x 0 through April 17. Apparel must be reserved by this date in order to arrive in time for Commencement.
    • An e-mail will be sent when your items have arrived at The Phoenix Bookstore. Please verify that you have the correct apparel, including the tassel before leaving the store.
