UW-Green Bay alumnus to run for Assembly

A 2009 graduate of UW-Green Bay’s programs in Public Administration and Political Science is planning a news conference on campus later this week to announce his candidacy for the 90th Assembly District seat in the Wisconsin Legislature. Joel Diny of Green Bay says he will run as a “progressive Republican” to succeed the retiring Karl Van Roy as representative for the West Side of Green Bay. Diny tells us he will make his announcement at 1 p.m. this Thursday (April 12) in Phoenix Room A of the University Union.
