Shorewood Golf Course open for business

Occasional snow showers be danged, the Shorewood Golf Course on the UW-Green Bay campus is letting golfers swing into spring. The course, voted the top nine-hole course in the state by Golf Course Owners of Wisconsin, is officially open for business for the 2009 season. Rick Warpinski says the grounds are in terrific shape thanks in large part to an early, protective blanket of snow. Spring rates are in effect through May 3 with adult green fees at $11 (or $15 for an unlimited day pass). Junior golfers and UW-Green Bay students can golf for $8.

Clubhouse Restaurant soon to follow
On or about April 20, we’re told, the Birdie (turkey and cheese), Phoenix (roast beef and hot sauce), and the Shorewood (ham, turkey, salami, and cheese) plus all your other favorite sandwiches will return with opening the Clubhouse Restaurant. Sharon Vanlieshout and her well-trained student crew will be ready and waiting for your arrival. Watch for opening confirmation details in a later LOG or the weekly Retail Email.
