Virtual drive: Golfers can hit the links in the off season

For those getting anxious to play the links, how about 52 course options? Although it is a tad early for golfers to get on the Shorewood Golf Course, its “TruGolf” Indoor Simulator is open for business.

The professional golf simulator helps golfers practice and perfect their game with precise analytics. Golfers can select from 52 choices and different tee distances.

Reservations (some days are already booked solid) are in half hour increments. The cost is a $24 per hour flat rate, with a four-golfer limit. Reservations are currently required due to the irregularity of clubhouse hours.

Players can chose 9 or 18 holes. On average nine holes would take 45 minutes to an hour for 1-2 players. For a reservation, e-mail UWGB assistant director of retail sales Lee Reinke at reinkel@uwgb.edu.
