Yo, Adrian! Dad takes long route to Wichita

Sophomore Adrian Ritchie scored 20 points to lead UW-Green Bay over Michigan State Tuesday night in the NCAA Tournament, but her father, Dick, got nearly as much publicity for his epic 1,000-mile journey on game day. Dick Ritchie saw Adrian’s game vs. Arkansas-Little Rock and then left Wichita at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday to head to Oshkosh to see his youngest daughter Jillian, who is a senior on the De Pere basketball team, play in her high school sectional game. Dick traveled as far as Iowa when he learned Jillian’s game would be postponed by weather. Ritchie made a U-turn and made it back to Wichita 31 minutes before tipoff. Read more.
