The Horizon League entrant in the NCAA men’s tournament has advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. The Butler Bulldogs, who swept this year’s season series with the Phoenix — actually, they have swept virtually everyone lately, winning 22 straight including victories over UTEP and Murray State in the NCAAs — play the Syracuse-Gonzaga winner next weekend. Meanwhile, in Salem, Va., the UW-Stevens Point men’s team rallied to beat Williams College 78-73 for the program’s third NCAA Division III national championship in seven years. The Pointers are coached by former UW-Green Bay assistant Bob Semling, familiar to many on campus.
