No. 1 Green Bay women prepare for NKU or Valparaiso

In Horizon League women’s basketball action yesterday at the Kress Events Center at UWGB, Youngstown State (6) beat Oakland (7) 65-63; Wright State (3) beat UIC (10) 71-55; Northern Kentucky (5) beat Cleveland State (8) 71-59 and Valparaiso (9) pulled a huge upset over Detroit (4) 94-91. In tonight’s action beginning at the Kress Center at 5 p.m., Northern Kentucky plays Valparaiso, followed by Wright State vs. Youngstown State at approximately 7:30. Green Bay plays the winner of the Northern Kentucky and Valparaiso game in the tournament semifinals, Saturday (March 12 at 3 p.m.). The Horizon League championship is at Noon on Sunday (March 13).
