Prof. Meredith’s presentation ‘Women Who Dare’ will be rebroadcast on PBS this week

Especially timely during International Women’s Week, UW-Green Bay Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston’s video presentation, “WOMEN WHO DARE” will air Thursday, March 11, 2021 at  4 p.m. on the Wisconsin Channel and Friday, March 19, 2021 at 4 a.m. on  PBS Wisconsin as well as other times not listed.

The presentation dates back to a UW-Green Bay series called “After Thoughts,” a women-focused after-hours event that left the audience with new perspectives. Meredith gave the presentation with Jiebing Chen, erhu player, and it focused on celebrating the lives of five performing artists: Hildegard von Bingen, Clara Schumann, Antonia Brico, Isadora Duncan and Billie Holiday.  Jiebing Chen also discussed her immigration from China and her life as the first performer of the erhu instrument to perform with major orchestras.
