Phoenix smokes Crusaders, awaits the Flames


The No. 10-ranked and 28-1 UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team pulled away from visiting Valparaiso Wednesday night (March 7), 77-53. The victory in the Horizon League Tournament quarterfinal guarantees Friday’s semifinals and Sunday’s final will be played at the Kress Events Center. Friday’s games involve the top four seeds: Detroit vs. Wright State at 5 p.m. and UW-Green Bay vs. Illinois-Chicago at about 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s title game is a noon start.
