All are welcome for Innovation in Aging Student Idea Competition

Attend the “Innovation in Aging Student Idea Competition, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Friday, March 3 in the Christie Theatre of the University Union. Stop by anytime to encourage student teams and vote for the “People’s Choice Award” (all audience members may vote for one team), learn more about the competition to encourage students to compete next year and enjoy refreshments and food. Student teams represent a number of disciplines across the campus including health communications, computer science, human biology, psychology, nutrition science, business, human development, accounting, social work, environmental design and others. Some teams are representing student organizations. Student teams are challenged to identify a problem that affects quality of life for the aging population and design a solution to address the identified problem. The judging panel is composed of two faculty members, and representatives from the Aging and Disability Resource Center (Green Bay), Curative Connections (Green Bay) and Fresco Services (New London). The top award is a $500 prize.
