UW-Green Bay students competed at 2019 State Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference

Three UW-Green Bay students competed at the 2019 State Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference on Friday, Feb. 21, 2019 through Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan. Two students qualified to compete at the international Career Development Conference in Orlando on Saturday, Apr. 13, 2019 through Tuesday, Apr.16, 2019.

The UW-Green Bay students that competed were UW-Green Collegiate DECA founder and President Anna Gane (Business Administration) and UW-Green Bay Collegiate DECA officers Nick Blasczyk (Business Administration) and Jackie Schelter (Business Administration). Gane and Schelter competed in the Business Ethics case study competition. After the first day, they placed first overall. After the second day of competition with a new business ethics case and a new judge, they finished second overall in the state competition. Blasczyk competed in the “Entrepreneurship – Start A Business” competition pitching his nonprofit to two different judges on the two days of the competition.
