Win vs Milwaukee sets up Horizon showdown for Phoenix women

The Green Bay women’s basketball team defeated in-state rival Milwaukee with an 81-69 win on Saturday afternoon at a UWM Klotsche Center that had as many (or more) Phoenix fans in attendance as Panther backers. The win moved the Phoenix to 15-7 overall and 8-2 in the Horizon league, good for first place. It sets up an all-important battle among conference contenders this Friday night (Feb. 21) at the Kress Center when Green Bay hosts Cleveland State in a game that could do much to determine homecourt advantage in the playoffs.
